COREDEC
Community Research and Development Center (COREDEC) is the current name given to the Research and Support Center-Laboratory of Social Sciences-Cameroon,
West-Central Africa. It was created in the small Cameroonian city of Ngaoundere in April 1998 by a Fulbright Scholar and Humboldt
Professor Gilbert L.Taguem Fah. COREDEC derived from and was informed by the new orientation of the center which main purpose is
to marry scientific research to local and sustainable development issues.
La création du Community Research and Development Center (Coredec) est liée à l'évolution du Centre d'Appui à la Recherche-Laboratoire des Sciences Sociales (CAR-LSS) créé dans la petite ville universitaire de Ngaoundéré. Ce centre a été fondé en 1998 par le Professeur Gilbert L. Taguem Fah (Fulbright et Humbolt) en vue de soutenir la recherche en sciences au nord-Cameroun. À travers la mise sur pied du COREDEC, le CAR-LSS se donne une nouvelle orientation en juxtaposant l'activité de recherche aux enjeux du développement durable à une échelle locale. Il est donc question de faire la jonction entre la recherche fondamentale et la recherche action.
